SUMMERVILLE, Sc., August 1, 2013 — MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV), announced today that Raleigh-based, Carolina Ale House has signed a purchase agreement to acquire a site in the first phase of Nexton along Highway 17A. The regional favorite is expected to break ground in October and open in the spring of 2014.

“With a 100,000-square-foot Class A office building under construction and the new SCRA facility set to break ground later this year, we are pleased to secure a fun restaurant ideal for informal business lunches, gathering with friends after work, or enjoying an evening out with family,“ commented Kenneth T. Seeger, president, MWV Community Development and Land Management. “Carolina Ale House is just the first of many regional favorites looking to make Nexton their home.”
