Learn key aspects of developing and executing a festival or event from an operational viewpoint. Discussion will focus on location and traffic flow, budget, infrastructure, safety, time line, supplies, volunteers and staffing. We will also touch upon the importance of a mission statement and evaluations. This is an interactive session so bring your suggestions and questions.
Making your Volunteers Festival Savvy
Everyone knows you can’t have a successful event without good volunteers. Sometimes we need to put the right information at their fingertips! Join us as we explore ways to get a lot of information in a little bit of time so that your volunteers are well informed for your audience and make your festival more efficient to attendees!
Refreshing Ideas to Help Make your Event Sizzle
Are you tired of the same old event? Ever wonder how the other festivals keep their festival alive and exciting? Sit in on this session and learn how to keep your event sizzling. Actual samples and suggestions will be discussed. It is OK to borrow … it’s almost required.
“We originally scheduled this workshop to help boost festival attendance at Berkeley Chamber of Commerce member attractions,” explains Elaine Morgan, CEO of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, “However, I found that this topic sparked the interest of other event organizers statewide so we have decided to promote the workshop to festival and event organizers across the state.”
